CIGARETTE CARD CAROUSEL
« on: March 12, 2012, 04:55:05 PM »
At last years convention one of the stalls had a wonderful item which was a wooden carousel type frame which rotated round ,  each section or level held a row of wooden frames to hold a cigarette card i think there was 10 of them and there where 5 sections so you could fit a whole set in it
Have scourd antique sites and alas to date never seen one again , i wonder if any of the memebers who were at Stratford last year can recollect or even have one in their own possesion Looking forward to this years convention at Lincoln of course too

You'll find a picture of the carousel here:

It was a do-it-yourself project in Hobbies Weekly, so if you want one you'll have to make it yourself  :)

While I'm at it I guess I might as well post the picture of the holder itself.

Well done Mick!  I hope you have fun making it.  It looks as though the original was only intended for 25 cards.  Maybe you could make a larger version for 48 or 50 card sets.
