Can anyone identify these cards?
« on: July 17, 2018, 10:45:14 AM »
I purchased these cards amongst a job lot of cigarette and trade cards at auction. They are sepia glossy photographic cards measuring 70 x 42 mm and have plain off-white backs. They feature prominent figures relating to the First World War.

Celebrities of the Great War - issued by Major Drapkin & Co. 1916

The plain back set is a series of 34.
There is also a printed back set of 36.

Not sure which 2 subjects are in the printed back set & not the plain back. Maybe someone else will chime in with that info.

Always amazes me the history in these cards, well done for identifying the issuer.
Always looking for interesting cards and associated goods issued by Ogden's you can see samples of cards I am looking for in the wants section.
Best Regards David
