Have all your ebay card purchases arrived safely?
« on: April 02, 2012, 09:27:49 PM »
I've been lucky and all the cards I've bought on ebay have been pretty well packed and have arrived safely. I have heard a few horror stories, though, about cards being badly packed and arriving damaged.

Have the sellers that you'be bought from packaged your purchases properly or have you been one of the unlucky ones?

Most have been packed properly but I have gotten some here in the USA from British ebayers who think a card stuffed in a paper towel inside a plastic sandwich bag is quality shipping.

How hard is it to buy a box of Card Savers and HOLDER the card? It amazes me people would think an envelope is protecting a card while it is bouncing around inside damaging corners.

Pay the extra 10 pence for a holder. Charge it on the other end if it is too much.
And one more thing, lose the paper covered cardboard envelopes. They get banged up on the long trip across the pond. Bubble envelopes work much better.

within my time on ebay, i have never received any sets, damaged , due to poor packaging.
only one set arrived in a creased state, because the postmanforced a rigid card envelope in half, through my letterbox.
one of the most disgraceful packets, was a several times used jiffy bag, with an irregular torn out piece of cereal box, for a stiffener, whilst cards remained loose, and a half a torn yellow post it note, with my address, scribbled on it.
the cards received were unscathed.

I cant believe it but I just got another LOOSE card in the mail !

How hard is it to put a card in a holder and place cardboard on either side and use a proper envelope to ship?

This particular card fell right in my lap as I opened the flimsy envelope.

I promptly left a neutral feedback rating on an otherwise perfect 100% feedback for this person. Luckily I was in a good mood or it would have been a negative fdbk.

Invest in a card holder if you are sending out cards! DONT BE CHEAP.
