my wife watched a really interesting judge judy today.
it involved two card collectors, one a seller the other a purchaser on ebay.
the purhaser had purchased a joe de maglio (sorry i am not a baseball collector, so may have the name wrong).
he had purchased an rare card, but considered it a forgery, whilst the seller assumed it was original, from his fathers collection
the purchaser brought along an expert, that explained the paper, from the 1940's, that cannot be duplicated, and the printing, with the ink being fluid, rather than the fake being almost what is under magnification, as half tone printing/
i was very interestsd to see the card had ben encapsellated, which i have been anaware of before, except on this forum

I like and use the albums that contain the sheets of 25 cards. I place a thin black plastic sheet between every alternate sleeve. This then gives me the opportunity to place the first 25 with there back face up and then the second 25 with the picture face up.
The end result is that after turning over the first sheet you see the fronts of 50 cards. In the centre of the sleeves there are spaces for explanation cards of what is being displayed.
I know of a few collectors who have converted to how I present my collection.

To store my collection i use two types of albums For my Churchman and Football cigarette cards i use the large dealer type albums from RobRoy with 30 pocket vertical pages so that way i can see all of the 25/50 card set on the single or two pages rather than having to turn the pages in the standard nostalgia type albums For my Newcastle United collection i use the LCC A4 albums with 9 pocket for A&BC type cards four pocket for larger postcard type cards ie Chix and the 15 pocket pages for standard cigarette cards
Altogether compact tdiy and presentable
