just a quick hi to you all. a newbie at collecting cigarette cards.
 only started last week, after looking on ebay for things associated with ypres and coming across a ypres my weekly silk. bought it and that led to some research which has led my to purchase some more with the intention of purchasing even more. much to the wifes horror. :D

anyway looking forward to popping in every now and then.

Welcome to the site Just enjoy collecting what intrests you and dont worry about whether its cheap or expensive you dont have to spend a fortune to enjoy the hobby , just stick to what you like

Echo what magpiemick says. In 20+ years, have only
rarely paid over £50 for a set. My collection is an
extremely eclectic mix of what interests me. Some very
good sets, some quite common BUT have always erred
on the side of the best condition available - so some
sets have taken up to 3 years to complete - that's the
buzz!
