I hope to be there.  I'll wear a Wills rose in my button hole and carry a copy of Card Times under my arm so you recognise me  :)

If any of our members who are going to the CSGB National convention in Lincoln would like a self-adhesive cigarettecardcollecting.com lapel sticker/badge to identify themselves to other members send me your address by personal message and I'll send one off to you.

Did anyone have any joy at Lincoln-especially with Guinea Golds.Got the 2 scarce cards from the Base DC politicians group for £1.00 each in F-G condition. Also got quite a few various bases of numbered series that I needed.Apart from this I was rather disappointed GG wise.Loads of 1-200 series and Base D Boer war but many cards in poor condition.Or didn't I look hard enough and somebody can tell me different!?

Lincoln Showground was a decent venue with a big spacious room for dealing.

There were a couple of dealers from the U.S.  I also saw two collectors from there.

The usual dealers from the U.K. and if you know them you know the percentage of catalogue they charge.

I didn't come across any new collectors, just the usual ageing collector's like myself.
I have attended the convetion for 25 years only missing two,and in this time I see the same faces every year (not a bad thing) It's a pity there aren't younger people coming into the hobby.
That said maybe those eager buyers buying Panini stickers on ebay may be the Taddy collectors of the future.

I just got back home from Lincoln (I got lost up the A14  :) )  I obviously missed you CP, although I saw a couple of people with forum member stickers.  The Friday in particular seemed to be very well visited.  For those that couldn't get there a pic. is attached.  There will be a full report in the next Cartophilic Notes and News.
