Ogdens Tabs
« on: May 16, 2012, 02:21:05 PM »
Hi

My first post on here so hello to one and all.
I have just purchased my first lot of Ogdens Tabs and I wanted to enquire if a fellow member could tell me if the Ogdens Red Guide book lists the details of the General Interest sets.
My first set is one short of the two hundred and is Series C number 30.
i have the Cartophilic Reference book but it seems not to list the contents of the General Interest series.

Many thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew. As a Guinea Gold collector I find the Red book invaluable as it lists all Tabs and Guinea Gold cards. However as Ogdenscards (David) on the forum will tell you it is far from perfect.Regards.

That's good, you have started what to me has been a very pleasurable experience collecting the Ogden's cards.

The red book is the best guide that there is but unfortunately for you it limits it's listing to only unnumbered cards, the card you are looking for and I probably will have it duplicated, is "Heave H.M.S. Camperdown"

Look forward to discussing more in the future.

Regards David
Always looking for interesting cards and associated goods issued by Ogden's you can see samples of cards I am looking for in the wants section.
Best Regards David

Hello David
Thank you very much for your reply.
As I said I am very much a novice with regards to Tabs and Golds but I am on the ladder now as it were.
If you do have a duplicated card number 30 that you would be willing to sell I would be very grateful.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and once again many thanks for your reply.
Andrew
