diamond jubilee, queen elizabeth
« on: May 30, 2012, 10:13:55 PM »
the 20th century, was very unique in british history, by having two diamond jubilee's within a space of 51 years.
considering the health of queen elizabeth, during her diamond jubilee, and queen victoria's declining health, i hope our present queen , will live to be the longest reigning monarch in the history of the british isles
during the early years of the first millenium, when the british isles were split into many minor kingdoms, and many of the kingdoms were the possesions of parts of northern europe, such as norway and denmark,
there can be a longer claim of 66 years, by Harald II, earl of orkney, from 1140 to 1206, this was during the days that parts of scotland were owned by the kings of norway.
the main reason, though of this topic, is that i would be interested in compiling a list of sets of cards, that queen eliabeth II, can be found included in the set.
so far, having gone through around half of my collection, i have found eight sets, in which she can be found.

pattreiouex

sights of london, first set
sights of london, supplementary set

brooke bond

queen elizabeth I to queen elizabeth II

my list is incomplete at the moment, due to partially going through my collection, there are two other sets that are listed on seperate topics in this forum, but i would love to find other sets, that fellow collectors could list , being this time of the diamond jubille

She would have been on card No 7 but this was never issued. Unlike the Topps US
card No 7 (see a&bc the Queens mystery on previous topic) where she does appear.
