Hand coloured Guinea Golds
« on: June 06, 2012, 09:01:03 PM »
I was watching the Antiques Roadshow the other day and someone had a collection of Guinea Golds, some of which had been hand coloured. I wasn't aware that hand coloured Guinea Golds existed. Are they rare? does anyone have any in their collection?

Yes they do exist but are not as common as the normal cards. I now have about 800 cards coloured with some cards having different colour schemes on them. There is no definitive answer as yet as to how many cards can be found, so I am compiling a list. If you find any please tell me or give me the opportunity to purchase.

I have a few Guinea Golds and I certainly like them but starting a proper collection would be a bit of a daunting task. There's soooo many of them  ;D But I suppose the fact that there are so many to hunt down could be the attraction for Guinea Gold collectors...

Yes there are a lot to collect but fortunately most are very affordable. You can very quickly amass a large number of them and this is probably the best way because you can compare the differences between each printing.
