Football players fees for appearing on cigarette cards

How much were football players paid for using their photos and biographies on the back of cigarette cards? I don't suppose it was much.

They didn't get much for turning up to play every week, Colin, so I don't suppose the fee for appearing on cigarette cards was much, if anything.
